1000 Foot Steps

This is a final painting based off of the first design in the Deity series, sort of the genesis piece of the whole series. I remember making the first design somewhere between holiday time off with my job at the time and didn't realize it would kick off an entire world building project but here we are. Now I'm considering putting these all into some sort of book, we will see.

Also unexpectedly this was one of two nominations I received this year from the Concept Art Association. Thank you so much to the Association for including my work in this years show! This piece was in the running for "Beacon Award: Creature Design" but what took home the win was Gravitas in the "Beacon Award: Character Design" category.

Lastly, Adam Jones from Tool asked to use this image for their 2025 Tour and of course I sad yes! This will make my 3rd poster with them, thanks for bring me back on again after 5 years, Tool!
